Maintaining an offshore lighthouse is never-ending. Besides routine maintenance, we have larger, more expensive projects that need to be accomplished. Our next project is to repair our main concrete deck.
As you can imagine, it's pretty tricky trying to repair something out in the middle of the sea. Not only is it logistically difficult, but we also are in a constant battle with Mother Nature's salt, surf and sun. (Not to mention the mess those seagulls can make!)
We hope you consider supporting our efforts by sharing our message with others, donating or purchasing merchandise for friends, family and yourself.
~Thank you!
All monies donated go towards preserving this historic lighthouse for generations to enjoy.

American's romance with lighthouses started when the first one was built at the entrance of the Boston Harbor in 1716. Maybe it's the way they stand proud and confident at the ready; knowing they are the ones that will guide seafarers to their safe haven. Or maybe it's that they can also appear forlorn as though they are themselves waiting for someone who has gone out to sea and is yet to return. However you look at a lighthouse, you can probably agree that it just seems to speak to you in it's own way.
Whatever it is, there is no shortage of admiration for our beloved Baltimore Harbor Light. Here we share a collection of photos, video and artwork from talented fans, photographers and artists alike; capturing her shifting moods. We hope you enjoy it. *
I'd like to be a lighthouse
I'd like to be a lighthouse
All scrubbed and painted white.
I'd like to be a lighthouse
And stay awake at night.
To keep an eye on everything
That sails my patch of sea;
I'd like to be a lighthouse
With the ships all watching me.
